Rise and Rule Revisited (Epic Mod)
RARR (= Rise and Rule Revisited)) is a MOD of the great epic MOD and Double Your Pleasure (= DYP) and enable some concepts of Rar 1. 04. Many, many The graphics are updated and added. RARR requires an extended pack CIV 3 confessions (this is also included in Civ 3 Complete).
Therefore, all credits are given to MOD's original creators.
-Rise And Rule (= Rar): Kal-EL, ISAK, Doc TSIOLKOVSKI, HARRIER,-Double Your PLEASURE (= Dyp): Kal-EL, ISAK, Harrier, Robo, PDESCOBAR.
On the other hand, while RARR existed, DYP and RAR original creators posted a highly valued statement about RARR. They are here:
Thank you very much for your grateful words about RARR. This is a Mod that carefully adds new concepts and some changes to DYP and RAR, a great epic MOD, from a mod that only updates the graphics of DYP and RAR, with a new version 1. 8 (and earlier 1. 7) of RARR. That's why we took the steps.
RARR 1. 8 (and earlier 1. 7) is trying to fix all errors reported in the previous version of RARR. Madviking, Node60, Samez, Keli, UAARGH, JLVFR, KESTREL18, Lord Plebian, TechnoTubies, RUDY2, TIGRIS OF , Belofon, IZENGRIMM, TAKEO, Atlasian reported errors for many years Thank you very much for doing.
We hope that RARR 1. 8 will report errors from divers around the world and proposals to improve this MOD.
You can see the list of all corrections and changes in RARR 1. 7. You can see the tech tree of RARR 1. 8 (and 1. 7.).
Thank you very much to the great CIV 3 unit creators, including Wyrmshadow, Delta_strife, Sandris, AnthonyBoscia, IMPERATOR1961, which made many units used in RARR and CCM. They produced many units used in RARR and CCM. Your great job has not lost interest in CIV 3.
The 180x180 world map is based on Kal-EL's work, DYP and RAR lead designers many years ago. I would also like to thank Timerover51 for advice on the location of broa d-leaved resources to enable special wooden ships.
install
1. The extended main file of CCM3 must be installed in the C3C scenari opener.
CCM3 files can be downloaded here.
CCM 3 contains a lot of DYP, RAR, RARR units and graphics.
2. Drop the new (very small) RARR folder and RARR 1. 8 Biqs (standard, extension, world map) into C3C scenari Ofolder, and place the RARR 1. 8 Biqs outside the RARR folder. The zip file is attached under this post.
Remember that thousands of RARR 1. 8 units come from CCM 3 MainFiles. If you do not install CCM 3, RARR 1. 8 will not work.
4. If you use the Steam version of CIV III COMPLETE, you need to delete the Labels file in the text folder and change the Labels-Steam CivComplete Patch file name to Labels.
RARR is connected to a CCM file, and the new CCM3 is in the scinal Ofolder, which indicates the Biq updated for RARR 1. 8. In addition, SCENARIO. C3X_config, which can be thawed in the RARR folder, is attached, like the screenshot below. This file lists the special settings of FLINTLOCK MOD for CCM3 when starting RARR. Flintlockmod is not necessary to play RARR, but many improvements have been made in the initial settings to play RARR. Among them are bugs on submarines and bugs on houseboats, aggressive use of AI land artillery, and improvement of military unit filling.
The new version of RARR is currently under development, but it will take some time for a while.

At the end of 2014, DYP's webmaster ULRICH BERNSKOV was kindly given civforum. de to have an additional hosting of Dyp/Rar-mod. While preparing an additional uploading to this server, I realized that Doc TSIOLKOVSKI has released the early beta version of Rar 1. 04 in CFC's "Lots of places". You can see this version of Rar here and read why Doc TSIOLKOVSKI posted RAR 1. 04 (Betestest) there.
Doc Tsiolkovski made many changes and fixes in the beta version of RAR 1. 04. He listed them in the changelog attached to the beta test version of RAR 1. 04. At that time, some concepts in that version, such as supply ships and nuclear bombers, were not enabled. It has been a long time since the early beta version of RAR 1. 04 was posted, and the knowledge of Civ 3 modding has improved, and many artists have added great units, buildings, and other features for Civ 3.
So I tried to contact Kal-El and Isak from CFC by PMS about the continuation of the RAR and goethe story. He also had Doc Tsiolkovski's old email address, and tried to contact that member of the RAR team. I also made a big public post about continuing the RAR story in CFC: http://forums. civfanatics. com/showpost. php? p=13804025& amp; postcount=2425
By the time this post was dated, I hadn't heard a response from the former creators of DYP/RAR. Pfeffersack, a late member of the RAR team, advised me that in this case it would be better to release the updated mod as a mod-mod rather than as RAR 1. 04, so I followed his advice.
Chances and Additions
As a first step, I enabled the supply ship and gave it a setting like it has worked for several years in my epic mod, CCM. The supply ship uses the "Capture the Princess" option, which is appropriate for random maps, rather than the "Reverse Capture the Flag" option. The setting was done in Editor 1. 00, which does not disable SGL (this concern only exists in Editor 1. 03, which contains a bug in the SGL setting). The AI doesn't use supply ships very effectively even with these settings, so the setting for the building that produces these shipments has been set to Small Wonders, and the value of supply ships escorted to capital cities has been set to 25 gold (the same value as when a barbarian village is captured).
Nuclear bombers have been enabled and function the same as the nuclear bombers in the C3C scenario "WW II in the Pacific". They are auto-produced by SW atomic weapons tests for 8 turns.
Aircraft carriers now have a setting to allow long-range bombing. Battleships have disappeared from the build queue once aircraft carriers appear in the tech tree.
The main focus was on a major update of RAR graphics. Hundreds of beautiful units and some missing leader heads have been added, and the MOD has received a new interface, a large amount of technical tuses, buildings, and resource icons have been recreated and added.
Here you can see many of the bonus resource icons that have been added:
The RARR unit folder currently contains more than 1100 units (old units replaced for historical reasons are still included.) Here you can see a part of the new land unit:
Thanks to the great support by Delta_strife, this MOD contains units that have not yet been released (such as the Soufure n-class French Missile Destroyer and the Kremansa w-class French aircraft carrier, etc.).
Soufflen class
Clemansaw class
Deering class
Hamburg class
CVN 65 Enterprise
One of the issues of adding many flavored units is the increase in HYP-LAW-BUG. To avoid this bug, I introduced the method used in my epic MOD CCM and reduced the possibility of encountering this bug. Currently, the links of the unit Sibiropedia have been connected to the building and are no longer connected to resources.
Furthermore, another phenomenon of the editor learned from the Civ 3 community in the Anthony Boscia scenario 1989 this year is that the first one of the three possible resources is set to "None", and the resource from the unit of the unit is the item of the unit Civilopedia. The link of (including this bug) will completely disappear (see the example of the Assyrian swordsman screenshot). RARR setting is very suitable for this method because there is no unit that requires three resources as a prerequisite.
Another advantage of this method is that the newly available strategic resources can be confirmed directly in the tech tree. Currently, the only possibility of encountering HYP-Law-Bug is to directly click a small icon in Civilio Pedia resource items. Here is a warning of VULDACON's idea, 'Don't click'.
In the following, we will introduce the RARR tech tree with four different Shives for the four different times of this MOD.
Era 1 (Mongolia):
Era 2 (Germany):
Era 3 (UK):
In times, several new levels of airplanes were added to the mod. The values of these aircraft were calculated by adding the value of the higher level and the lower level of the aircraft, dividing by 2. For this reason, MiG-21, Phantom, Star Fighter, etc. were part of this MOD. In order to give them a sufficient place to use them, it was necessary to make some changes to the tech tree.
Currently, the mysterious crystal palace, which appeared in a completely wrong time, has been replaced by a ford factory, and RARR gives the continent a assembly plant. Some icons have been added for those who still want to play with old crystal palace.
The mysterious Taj Mahal has become a time with the technical free artistic (proposed by Kal-EL).
For more information, please see the change history of the following article.
Here you can see the new leader head added to RARR:
Queen Birgis (Ethiopia):
Caesar (Rome)
Temjin (Mongolia)
Napoleon (France):
Sitting Bull (Sue tribe)
King Tungaloa (Polynesia):
King Ram Kahen (Siam):
Dalai Lama (Tibet):
Mansa Musa (Mari):
You can see the list of RARR 1. 7 corrections and changes. You can see the RARR 1. 7 tech tree here.
